Pierre Cadieux is a professional management consultant with thirty years of experience in business development and public affairs. Is a  graduate of Laval University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, and began his career in Ottawa in 1980 as the principal assistant to a Member of Parliament. In 1984, after some brief consulting work in the Senate and in the Prime Minister’s Office, he undertook graduate studies in international development and political science that led him to work as a management consultant for the Canadian International Development Agency from 1985 to 1988.  In 1989, he joined ABB (Asea Brown Boveri)  as Director of Government Relations for Canada where he managed high profile projects in the areas of energy and transportation.

In 1993, he established his Montreal based management consulting firm and became actively involved in the local high-tech and business communities. He accomplished a wide variety of mandates for both private and public sector clients. During this time, he was appointed to several boards, namely: Quebec Electronics Industry Council, Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers Association of Canada and the Saint-Laurent Chamber of Commerce. He also acted as a special advisor to groups such as the Canadian Strategic Microelectronics Consortium, the Association of Economic Development Professionals of Quebec and the Montreal Technology Initiative Centre. He is a past Chairman of the Transportation Committee of the Montreal Board of Trade and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Transport and Logistics in North America.  In the area of health research and life sciences, he held a five year term as a Member of  the Board of the Armand-Frappier Institute (University of Quebec) and was a founding Member of the Board of the Quebec Biotechnology Innovation Centre.

In 1998, he was appointed President of the Canadian Industrial Transportation Association and was instrumental in its’ repositioning and renewed focus. In 1999, he established his Ottawa-based management consulting services company. He played important advocacy roles for clients in areas such as health research, namely as Executive Director for the Council for Health Research in Canada and as senior advisor to the Public Health Agency of Canada and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. On a variety of other fronts, he continues to counsel major clients in the areas of innovation management and government relations.
